Due to a major crisis in the paper industry, one major industrial player in this region was threatened with bankruptcy and closure. Due to the big impact, SAMglv, together with the international blue economy network, was asked by the Flemish Government to develop a disruptive, circular model that generates a new, regional economy that could replace 600 old jobs into circular employment. SAMglv developed the whole concept and prepared the conditions for the collective to be ready for implementation.
